ARB is the independent regulator of architects in the UK, here to protect the public and maintain trust in the profession.

We maintain the Architects Register, a definitive record of all UK architects listed online. If someone is not on the Register, they are not an architect – it is as simple as that.

We set the UK standards required to enter the Register and ensure only appropriate applicants from overseas join.

We set and enforce a Code for architects and take action against those who call themselves an architect illegally.

We endeavour to deliver our duties with consistency, integrity, objectivity, openness and transparency.
